What it’s like to be Cara Delevingne Occasionally models cross over into the realm of celebrity. If you doubted that had happened to Cara Delevingne you need only have seen the mob of photographers that formed around her like moths to a flame as she left yesterday’s Topshop Unique show at London fashion week. Delevingne acted her tomboyish self in the situation, pulling faces and posing gracefully while decked out in a varsity jacket and baseball cap. As for why she draws such a crowd – a bit of personality goes a long way, and Cara has it in spades. Fashionising.com headed backstage to take in the finer details of Daks’s spring / summer 2013 showing at London fashion week (LFW). That said their spring / summer 2013 collection didn’t throw wildly contrasting elements together, rather it was the contrast of pure sex executed with a breathy softness that made their London fashion week (LFW) show stand out. Skin was bared, but in just the right ways. Her spring / summer 2013 collection had an air of the Dior New Look about it, with full-skirted silhouettes given an update by way of sheer stripes and on-trend spring 2013 colours. Click to read 'Temperley London Spring / Summer 2013' Jasper Conran Spring / Summer 2013 You couldn’t miss the hippie vibe going on at Jasper Conran. You had only to notice folksy white doves appliquéd onto denim, full-skirted maxi dresses and colourful patchworks. Besides; nothing says hippie more than bare feet on grass (albeit of the fake kind). With those references, Conran’s spring / summer 2013 collection could have felt like it was ripped straight from the costume department of a Hair production, or at least the bowels of some dusty vintage store. But Conran avoided anything too obvious and gave every nod to the 1960s and ’70s a breath of very fresh (and highly saleable) air. For spring / summer 2013 that meant a mix of soft fabrics and floral details with the brand’s signature use of heavy embellishment and texture.
