 | | Milan fashion week update. Milan fashion week is in full swing. And that means more coverage of the collections than anyone but the most devout fashioniser could want - from the runway to the backstage to the street. To help you stay up to date with all the collections here's a round-up of MFW so far. Directly below are key highlights from the MFW shows, and beneath that you'll find links to all of the runway galleries so far. If you'd like to keep up to date with all the latest collections be sure to bookmark www.fashionising.com/fashionweek/milan-fashion-week. Pictures Cropping it: women’s street style from Milan (gallery) Those who thought the crop top would never make it back as a mainstream staple of women’s fashion surely have to concede defeat. Bralets and boob tubes and cropped tops of all kinds can be found easily on runways, in high street stores, and on the street. During this men’s spring 2014 Milan fashion week so far, we’ve already spotted quite a few takes on the crop top that stick to the elegant side. Most show a mere hint of midriff. After the break, a gallery of how crop tops are being worn in Milan. Pictures Men’s street style round-up from Milan: day 2. The mix of menswear at Milan men’s fashion week is varied as always, spanning from edgy to sartorial. And there’s also plenty in between: casual pieces married to tailored ones, suits accessorised down and chinos accessorised up. After the break, a gallery of just some of the stylish men of Milan from days 1 and 2. Pictures Men in shorts: street style roundup from Milan (gallery) At Milan fashion week yesterday for the menswear shows, some of the most stylish gents donned shorts. Some wore them as part of a short suit, some (like our own Daniel P Dykes, in a pair by Moroccan label Max & Jan) went for bold summer colours and prints. At the gallery: how the men in Milan were wearing their shorts yesterday. Runway Ermenegildo Zegna Spring / Summer 2014 men’s. If you want to sell menswear to the current generation you have to have a story to tell. It can be a heritage one, it can be a quality one, it can be an authentic one, it can be all three; seldom is it anything other. Their reputation preceeding them, Ermenegildo Zegna are short on neither heritage nor quality stories. But, with designer Stefano Pilati now at the healm, reptuations need not weigh one down. For a fashion house that has done so much in the past to build upon the ideal of the classic suit, such pre-defined notions seem in short supply amongst Ermenegildo Zegna’s spring 2014 collection. Runway Etro Spring / Summer 2014 men’s. View all the catwalk photos of the Etro men's spring / summer 2014 showing at Milan fashion week. Read the article to see the full gallery. Runway Gucci Spring / Summer 2014 men’s. Gucci men’s spring / summer 2014 runway show was unveiled on one of the many catwalks of Milan fashion week (MFW) and Fashionising.com was there to capture each look. Runway Neil Barrett Spring / Summer 2014 men’s. The open air and seemingly endless column-lined runway felt right for Neil Barrett’s spring / summer 2014 collection: minimalist pieces marching off to architectural vanishing point. If there’s a certain art in finding balance between colour and monochrome, cleanness and detail, then you can bet on Barrett having struck it with nearly every piece. These weren’t flamboyant looks but they weren’t exactly generic either: you might say they’re for the guy who wants to keep it simple – and wants to stand out for it.
