| Runway Marchesa Resort 2014. For Marchesa, embracing the ease of the resort season never truly implies abandoning its signature glamour, but with that being said the silhouettes do appear to be following a lighter and softer line for pre-spring 2014. The gardens at the Petit Trianon are what inspired designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig in creating a collection that brims with romance, while silently nodding towards Marie Antoinette’s exquisite closet. Clothes & Accessories The swimwear of Resort 2014: what’s hot. Building upon spring's trends while also giving us a glimpse into the future, the resort collections presented swimwear styles that flitted the boundaries of sporty and sexy. To give you a run down of the best of them - as well as what's trending - here's a round-up of the hot bikini styles from resort 2014. Pack your beach bag and let's go. Photo gallery included. Runway Mary Katrantzou Resort 2014. If Mary Katrantzou’s fans, followers and clients really grew to expect anything from the imaginative collections envisioned by the Greek fashion designer, than the poetic, almost surreal use of kaleidoscopic prints in the resort 2014 line-up would certainly meet those great expectations. Vivid and breathtaking, the print frenzy traversed the world for pre-spring, eternalizing its beauty on the way. Runway Saint Laurent Resort 2014. Less on the rock-and-roll side and focused instead on a toughened up idea of urban chic, Saint Laurent’s resort 2014 collection follows along the lines of its pre-fall inspiration at least in what regards the black and white look book presentation. Starring model Sasha Pivovarova and photographed by designer Hedi Slimane himself, the resort collection is set on bringing the sexy edge on the streets. Runway Viktor & Rolf Resort 2014. Leave it to a brand named Diesel to come up with an exciting collection aptly entitled “Need for Speed”. With a new creative director, Diesel, a brand that we’ve known for years, took on a new direction and a simple way to describe this is fast and modern. Their autumn / winter 2013 collection was very motorbike-chic and to go with this, Redken’s Global Styling Director Guido Palau updated the ponytail by giving it an edge. Wet look hair is one of 2013′s biggest hair trends and Guido incorporated this trend into the Diesel hairstyle. The result is a grungy wet ponytail that’s easy to do and easy to rock. Painting your lips bold red is a sure way to add drama into a beauty look but what about blurred berry ones? We are so accustomed to seeing bold lips in the runways but the one we spotted at the Marni autumn / winter 2013 show brought about a fresh yet somehow haunting, twist to this look, all thanks to Tom Pecheux of MAC Cosmetics. Tom describes the overall beauty look as “austere and dramatic”. Upon seeing it, we instantly get the feeling of romance with a dark edge to it. The look features peachy eyes and the berry lips that looked like they were fading into the skin. Despite the drama and the sexiness this beauty look has, it’s not that hard to recreate. Read on after the break for the complete how-to for this look. Hair How to: Brit Rock bedhead hair from Topshop Unique. Ever found yourself waking up in the morning and loving the way your hair looks? Bedheads are the epitome of cool and relaxed chic. A look that exudes simplicity yet still has that sass that will make head turns, so it was the perfect choice for the Topshop Unique autumn / winter 2013 show. It’s not everyday you wake up with the perfect bedhead hairstyle but lucky for us, Topshop teamed up with Anthony Turner and the result is a hairstyle that puts all bedheads to shame. The look is a play of texture and volume, perfect as a 2013 hairstyle and beyond. With a hint of rock, it is what a girl wants her hair to look like the morning after an awesome night out with her friends. Check out our complete how to for this ’70s Brit rock bed hair after the break. Hair How to: Felder Felder’s easy textured waves. Young, wild and free are feelings that wavy hair invokes. While the latest Felder and Felder collection had a very grown up feel to it, a textured wavy hairstyle was worn by the models to even the seriousness out. The person responsible for this was Johnny Engstrom of L’oreal Prefessionnel. Many women love the look of wavy hair but find it to be too much work. The look we saw from Felder Felder is one 2013 hairstyle we can easily do at home. Simple yet still gorgeous, it’s a look that any woman can incorporate in her daily life no matter what her outfit and the occasion. Check out the simple steps right after the break.
