Yacamim’s bohemian goddess If your goal is to ride into summer as an unambiguously sexy bohemian Goddess, Yacamim's latest campaign could easily serve as your bible (and your shopping list). Macrame weaves its way into both clothes and accessories. Fringed suede on skirts and boots gives off a Pocahontas vibe that traces back to the brand's American Indian inspirations. The same can be said of feathers and tribal-inspired jewellery - just don't forget to fearlessly layer it up. A regal white stallion isn't a mandatory mode of transport - but then again, it does have more impact than a pushbike.

But there's a challenge: keeping it fresh. If the pieces are all original vintage they can be too worn out; you can end up looking like you've just stepped haphazardly out of a Salvation Army bin rather than through a time portal. This outfit worn by Natalie Joos in Paris is one that stays true to the ladylike aesthetic of the '50s and '60s and yet has all the vibrancy of the modern day. From the cat eye glasses and dainty kitten heels to the Prada bag - it all works in harmony. So, how to achieve a look that's both vintage and fresh at the same time? The association with beachside pleasure is almost Pavlovian; and that's the beauty of it. You can put a canvas tote into any environment, and the effortless association of summer comes right along with it. Chanel's Cabas Ete (canvas tote) for the summer 2012 season weaves jacquard onto cotton canvas, weaves ribbon into chain, and more importantly weaves luxury with effortless summer style. The five gently faded colours on offer may have a sun-drenched effect, but that doesn't preclude them from being taken indoors as well as out. Not about the obvious nudity, but this household arrangement of a liaison has taken a sultry and tasteful turn. It has steered towards the menage a trois of clothes. Despite the presence of all three in one frame for reasons known to us, each of their personalities is screaming out. Be it with clothes or with their stance, models Agness, Blandline and Andre want to be seen, metaphorically and literally, as the most intrepid and mysterious. Sexually they're standing only a few feet away from each other, but fashion-wise it's a tough competition. Sharp overcoats, elbow-high gloves and liquid leather pants: the seductiveness rests with the clothes and accessories rather than the naked body. A great story comes to life on the screen and before long we're wishing we were in it: the viewer wants to be Holly Golightly in black Givenchy, or Annie Hall in a Ralph Lauren tie, or Carrie Bradshaw in Manolo Blahniks. And while the influence is often strong enough to spawn fashion trends and copycat looks, it's not every day the impact is this direct. Or this authorized. Straight from the horse's mouth, costume designer Trish Summerville has created a Girl with the Dragon Tattoo collection for H&M. In a press release from the high street giant, it was announced that the collection would debut at Paris' purveyor of all things cool, Collette. That's one way to add street cred to your collection, if basing it off a tough-as-nails female lead wasn't enough. More details after the break.
